Eternal North was born in the Winter of 2010 when guitarists Andrew Smith and Mark Seaquist departed their former band, Preach The Infection, to start a new band that more effectively blended the various subgenres ov metal into one cohesive whole. They came to name this new (Idaho Falls - based) project Eternal North. For two years, the two guitarists quietly wrote music for the project and continued to perfect their abilities on their instruments while also seeking other members to fill out the band. In early 2012, the lineup was fully complete when drummer Russell Kummer and bassist Michael Rupe came aboard to bring the vision ov Eternal North into reality. After working together for 6 months - writing and practicing - Eternal North was prepped and ready for playing live with a variety ov original songs that truly branched massively across the metal spectrum. However, not long after their first show, bassist and good friend, Michael Rupe, departed to pursue other opportunities. Eternal North then disappeared into the shadows for a few months; quietly writing more material, recording their first EP, (with Andrew recording bass as well as guitars) and seeking a new bassist. It was not until bassist Matt Montano joined Eternal North in the Fall ov 2012 that the band, once again, resurfaced - and with a fury. Having completed the recording, mixing, and mastering for their first single, Victims Ov Treachery, Eternal North released the song to the public ear and was pleased be met with enthusiasm and astonishment on the part of their listeners. The song was a combination of extreme brutality and melodic instrumental virtuosity that the Idaho Falls metal listeners had not heard locally in quite some time. The band is currently finishing the mixing and mastering for the remaining songs off their upcoming EP, Children Ov The Cold.
