Boise Rock School End of Spring Session Gig
Boise Rock School presents the End of Spring Session Gig at 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, May 29 and 30 at the Linen Building, 1402 W. Grove St. in Downtown Boise's Linen District. $5 suggested donation at the door. All ages, full bar (I.D. required), Pie Hole pizza, cookies and treats from Bleubird. Plenty of free, off-street parking is available at the Linen Building.
More than 200 students from Boise Rock School (http://www.boiserockschool.com/) will be taking to the stage to show off their skills, including students from BRS outreach programs at Foothills School of Arts and Sciences.
Boise Rock School’s quarterly Session Gigs at the Linen Building represent 12 weeks of hard work by Boise Rock School students. All active bands at Boise Rock School perform, putting what they’ve learned into practice on stage in front of the public.
“At the beginning of a session [new sessions start in September, January, March and June], students form a band and make a plan,” says Boise Rock School Cofounder Ryan Peck. “The Session Gig represents the target on the wall for three months — the moment where they can shine for their parents, family and friends and show other Boise Rock School bands what they've been up to for 12 weeks.”
